Structures for Creation, by @COCBAND

Every now and again I come across a band at random and instantly gravitate towards their sound and style. Circle of Contempt was one of several of such bands in 2016. Their album, Structures for Creation, is quite good.

Nine out of 10 songs on the album are Apple Music starred for popularity. I’m not sure how that works, but after several play-throughs I can attest that this album is really worthy of the adornment.

Interestingly enough, the one song without a star is the one I found the most awesome—Captive Conception—and I’ve included it in my Best of 2016 playlist.

The album is harder and darker than my usual choice though. I feel like my tastes are evolving even now.

Well, what are you waiting for? Give it a go and see what you think!
